0-6-0ST MW No.2047 of 1926 'Warwickshire'
stored in the workshop at SVR Bridgnorth in
August 1979. The locomotive was to remain
in this location until early 1988 when it was dismantled and the boiler sent to Roger
Pridham in Devon for repair. We had to
wait until early 1992 to find out that the
boiler was 'beyond economic repair' and
a new boiler would cost in the region
of £40,000.

at Roger Pridham's Works in Devon. When the boiler was condemed in 1992 it was decided to return the old boiler to Bridgnorth and re-assemble the locomotive, cosmetically
restore and place it on Static Display whilst
funds for a new boiler were raised. Hence
the reason W.I.L.T. was established in 1993.
